Castaway by the Sea is a locally owned hotel in Port Orford, Oregon, overlooking the harbor and fishing dock. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view that stretches from Humbug Mountain to the dry dock of Port Orford.

Our thirteen rooms come in a wide range of sizes, from the economical standard queen to the spacious two-story townhouses, so there’s a fit for every traveler. Every room has an ocean view, and guests can enjoy the cool ocean breeze in summer or watch the powerful coastal storms roll in during winter. We also welcome pets for $15 per night, so your furry companions can share in the coastal experience.

Port Orford is a charming coastal town surrounded by trails, rivers, lakes, and the ocean. We’re just ten minutes from Humbug Mountain State Park and twenty minutes from Cape Blanco State Park, making Castaway by the Sea a perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of the southern Oregon coast.

We keep things simple and welcoming — a place to relax, take in the view, and feel connected to this special corner of Oregon.

Pricing
Our rates are modest and change with the seasons, reflecting the busy summer months and the quieter winter season. Pricing is based on double occupancy, so although some of our rooms can accommodate up to 8 guests, rates start with 2 adults. Additional guests incur a charge of $20 per adult and $10 per child to help cover the extra costs for utilities, linens, and amenities.

This is common practice at many hotels, and we do our best to be clear and upfront about these fees so there are no surprises during your stay.
